• First, Congratulations to Jason Bennett, he was officially hired as band director today!   We will surely miss Mr. Nichols, but we believe he has left the band in good hands.

• More exciting news....Mr. Bennett has announced plans for the band to perform at the BCS National Championship Bowl Game in Miami, Florida.  This is the biggest bowl game of the year where the #1 and #2 ranked college teams battle.  Bowl Games of America, Inc. is sending the information to Mr. Bennett.
  
  

• Band Camp '08 is nearly over. Everyone has worked very hard, congratulations and thank you for all your help.

• The band students will be performing for family members and friends this Friday, 11:30 sharp with a cook-out to follow at 12 noon. You do not need to bring anything, just come enjoy the performance and fun.

• We would like to thank the Optimist Club for their generous donation of $2,000 to the band!

• Parents, please if you have not completed and returned the forms needed for band, please do so asap.

• Wish List!
  We're starting a Wish List of small things we need that parents might have lying around the house or be willing to donate.  First on the list is approximately 40 trouser hangers with the non-slip bar on which to hang the new tuxedo pants.  If you have a contact at one of the department stores or gift shops that might be willing to donate, please let us know.  They do sell them at Target and Wal-Mart, where I think they cost approximately $4-$5 for three.

  best fundraisers, and provides great advertising all year-round for
