• MANDATORY TRIP MEETING  -  There is a mandatory trip meeting for all parents of band
  students who are going on the Gatlinburg trip.  It will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2010 @ 5:30 PM in the
  AHS Band room.  All necessary paperwork for the trip will be completed at this meeting and trip information
  will be provided.
   
• Band Booster Meeting - The next band booster meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2010
  at 6:00 PM in the Band room.  Mark your calendars and make plans to attend. 
   
• Personal Performance Expense (PPE)  -  It is $150.00 per student and the money is used for
  all aspects of the Band Program that are not covered by the School Board budget.  Examples of what the
  fee is used for are transportation costs, concert attire upkeep, camps, instructors, sheet music, repairs
  and maintenance of Band owned equipment, Band events for students, t-shirts, etc.  It is imperative that
  this fee be paid on time for your Band student.  It takes a great deal of funding to operate the Blue Thunder
  Band Program each year. If you have any questions about the PPE fee, please contact the Booster Board.

• Sea Breeze Jazz Festival - Mark your calendars now, the Band will once again be working the Jazz
  Festival on April 16-18, 2010 at Arron Bessant Park.  This is a good fund raising event.  Students, plan to
  be there to help out.  More information will come out as time draws closer.
